Farm-Fresh Flavours on the Menu as Greenmeadow Community Farm Launches “The Farmer’s Table”

A new destination for food lovers is coming to South Wales this September with the opening of The Farmer’s Table – a 90-seat restaurant forming part of the £multi-million redevelopment at Greenmeadow Community Farm near Cwmbran.
Operated by top hospitality company BaxterStorey, the venue will deliver a bold, seasonal menu focused on sustainability and local sourcing. From smashed Welsh beef burgers to fresh wood-fired pizzas, every dish is designed to celebrate Welsh produce and community food culture.
Foodies can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and snacks at the venue – no farm entry ticket required – with the restaurant, cafés and takeaway service all open daily to the public. The food is sourced from local suppliers like Douglas Willis and nearby dairies and bakeries, ensuring every bite supports the regional food economy.
Jac Griffiths, General Manager, said:
“It was really important to us that the food and drink on offer at the farm was reflective of our values around seasonality, with well-sourced produce and a menu with something that everyone could enjoy.”Wales
BaxterStorey’s Daryl Williams added:
“Our team are excited to bring their craft and creativity to the table, celebrating the best in local Welsh produce to give visitors and local community a welcoming hospitality experience.”
Cllr Fiona Cross commented:
“The Farmer’s Table will be open to everyone, not just farm visitors, so it will become a real favourite for residents wanting to catch up for coffee and a cake with friends or a special dining experience.”
Greenmeadow Community Farm officially reopens on 13 September.
