With lockdowns hitting much of the UK, game specialist Wild and Game has launched a new recipe box designed to keep families fed and entertained at home – while saving money at the same time.
The Lockdown Recipe Box is a meat box containing a free recipe booklet detailing how to make nine meals – a mix of starters and main courses, some for 2-3 people and some for 4 – 6, with options ranging from dishes for a romantic meal for two through to crowd-pleasing family favourites.
At £100.99 with free delivery, the box provides a 12% discount on the RRP of the meat if the items were bought separately. Besides providing great value, it aims to introduce more people to the pleasures of eating game including wild boar, partridge, pheasant, pigeon, venison and grouse.
“With lockdown restrictions tightening across the UK, we wanted to offer something a bit different to keep people’s spirits up,” says Wild and Game co-founder Steven Frampton. “Wild and Game was founded with the aim of introducing more people to the joys of earing game, which is a healthy, delicious source of meat that’s been underused in the UK. The recipes in our new booklet aim to show just how versatile game is – and how easy it is to cook with. It brings a bit of variety to lockdown life and is fantastic for people who want to cook restaurant quality meals at home.”
