Stirling Distillery are celebrating the success of their limited edition gold gin OlympiGIN.

Created to celebrate the Tokyo Games, the Scottish distillery has seen an incredible response to their unique gold-flaked gin – quickly becoming their most successful product online. Enjoyed by Olympians including Dame Kelly Holmes, Rebecca Adlington and Colin Jackson, the gin has been a popular tipple for those not competing at the games. Scottish tennis coach Judy Murray OBE shared news of the gin’s launch, encouraging Scottish gin fans to shop local.

Already hailed as a collector’s item, this specially created gin is made from Stirlingshire nettles and Japanese yuzu. Gold medal winners from Team GB are being gifted their own celebratory bottle from the limited edition run of 500. The family run distillery, in the shadow of Stirling Castle, were honoured to host Stirling University athlete and gold medal winner Kathleen Dawson when she came to collect her gifted bottle of OlympiGIN. She was given a tour of the distillery and even made a TikTok video making the perfect serve. Click here for all the OlympiGIN social media action.

With gold medals coming quick and fast at the Paralympics, those hoping to get their hands on one of the final bottles of OlympiGIN will need to be quick!

Sales of their gold gin have surpassed all of their products online by 20%. A percentage of the profits from the sale will be donated to a UK charity supporting young people to achieve their potential through sport. Owner Cameron McCann was delighted with the success of their new product. “Stirling University is a central training hub for Scottish athletes, so there was huge interest in the Tokyo Games in the local area. We wanted to create a product to celebrate what is undoubtedly the greatest show on earth, and provide athletes and fans with a way to celebrate an incredible summer”.  This elegant gin is the creation of head distiller Lisa Matthews and the eye-catching bottle was designed by Scottish graphic designer Megan Raine.
