Stirling Distillery are celebrating after winning Bronze in the Gin Liqueur category with their popular Tropical Triumph liqueur at the 5th Annual Scottish Gin Awards.
The annual awards took place in a rainy Glasgow on the 27th October and brought together the best Scottish gins and distillers. Categories included Scottish Gin Distillery of the year, Excellence in Sustainability, London Dry Gin of the year, Flavoured Gin of the Year, Old Tom Gin of the Year and many more. Boasting the UK’s largest and most experienced gin judging panel, the independently appointed industry experts from the gin sector offered a wide range of experience, market knowledge and distilling expertise.
Tropical Triumph Liqueur was created in the summer of 2020 by Stirling’s former distiller Laura Barber and Elle McCann, the daughter of owners June and Cameron. Elle was at the ceremony to collect the award. Tropical Triumph quickly became a summer favourite with Stirling gin fans, however, the liqueur proved so popular the distillery made it a permanent product. This recognition from the Scottish Gin Awards will ensure it remains a year-round liqueur. The distillery ran a competition offering people the chance to design a label for the fruity liqueur which was won by Scottish graphic designer Mark Karwowski.
Tropical Triumph is a fresh and fruity liqueur with a smooth and refreshing finish. Distilled with beautiful tropical flavours of mango, passion fruit, pineapple and lime – it is the perfect liqueur for a delicious summer drink. The recommended serves are over ice with Mediterranean tonic, in a delicious cocktail or a dash in a glass of sparkling wine with fresh passionfruit to garnish. El:gin Moray Berry Liqueur took gold in the category.
