Popular Coastal Pub set to host Big Breakfast Event to raise funds for Prostrate Cymru

Popular coastal pub, the Plough and Harrow in Monknash will be hosting a Big Breakfast event from 10.00am-12.00pm on 28 November to raise much-needed funds for the charity Prostrate Cymru.

Prostrate Cymru is the leading prostate health charity in Wales supporting men with benign prostate disease and prostate cancer.  Across the UK, prostate cancer claims 11,000 lives each year, with up to 32,000 new cases diagnosed.

The charity raises awareness and seeks to educate men in Wales about the disease, as well as raising funds to support treatments and research, as well as helping to improve equipment available in Wales to treat prostrate diseases.  The charity supported GreenLight Laser treatment for benign prostate disease and funded the training of surgeons using the Da Vinci robot for minimally invasive prostate cancer surgery.

This November, the Big Breakfast will see workplaces and public venues across Wales hosting breakfast events to raise funds for the charity, and the Plough and Harrow team wanted to get involved and play their part.

Organised by well-known local chefs, Liz and Alun Williams, the big breakfast event is just £10 per person, and with the pubs’ already excellent reputation for good food and a friendly atmosphere, aa well as a surprise speaker it’s bound to prove popular and raise some money for a great cause.  You can book your space by calling 01656 890209.
