The Ivy Cardiff celebrated the opening of its first brasserie in Wales last week with a sophisticated evening of cocktails and canapes with entertainment from local saxophonist Jack Mac, DJ Scarlett, Ivy adorned performers and fire breathers.
Located within the heart of Cardiff on The Hayes at St David’s Cardiff, and catering for over 260 guests across two stunning floors, The Ivy Cardiff will offer sophisticated yet friendly all-day dining in a beautiful setting.
Opening today, the brasserie will be open seven days a week from morning until night, offering an idyllic location whatever the occasion. As well as the main restaurant and central bar situated on the ground floor, The Ivy Cardiff will also feature a stunning first floor bar complete with striking and colourful interiors, delicious cocktails, and a private dining space for up to 24 guests.
Attending the launch event was an array of sporting celebrities, socialites, and well-known faces from the city and industry including Welsh International Rugby Union players Josh Navidi, Lloyd Williams and Ellis Jenkins, Welsh professional footballer Joe Ledley and local bloggers Mollie Davies and Side Street Style.
News from Wales Editor Lisa Baker, who attended the launch with her husband Mark, said:
“The atmosphere, energy and vibrance of the Ivy is really rather breathtaking, everything from the thoughtfulness of the staff to the stunning surroundings adds to what will be a very special dining experience – and we definitely recommend the house champagne!
“The canapes we sampled were absolutely stunning, with an amazing balance of flavours. We will definitely be regular visitors.”
